This year, the AANA Foundation is staying true to its name by pouring a solid foundation to build a secure future for CRNAs. Building brick by brick, the Foundation designed a blueprint for success that can only be implemented with YOUR help. The AANA family plans to strengthen the Foundation by sponsoring activities in each room. Amethyst = $250 - $499
Sapphire = $500 - $999
Emerald = $1,000 - $2,499
Ruby = $2,500 - $4,999
Diamond = $5,000 and above

Monthly credit card gifts can be made in any amount and scheduled for the 15th of each month. Gifts like these allow you to make a larger commitment and space out the payments over time. Enrolling in the AANA Foundation's monthly gift program will free up some of your time, allowing you to focus on other important aspects of your life. Sponsoring a Nurse Anesthesia Student Scholarship or CRNA Fellowship
You are invited to participate in this worthwhile initiative. A student scholarship or a CRNA fellowship may be sponsored by an individual or an organization. Minimum awards of $3,000 each will be granted annually. This program provides financial assistance to students involved in a nurse anesthesia program and CRNAs enrolled in doctoral study. In establishing the criteria, flexibility has been provided for a sponsor to:
- Add a specific criterion (i.e., a state association may want the student recipient to come from that state).
- Indicate a name in which the scholarship is to be given.
- Describe the specific purpose for establishing the scholarship or fellowship to be used when publicizing it.
- Decide on an annual basis whether to continue sponsoring the scholarship or fellowship.
To establish a scholarship or fellowship to be awarded, complete and return the Sponsor Application Form along with a check by December 31. If funding cannot accompany the application, please contact the AANA Foundation at 847-655-1170.

Research and education in nurse anesthesia have advanced because of the support of many thoughtful cash gifts and planned gifts through the Friends for Life program. The most common planned gifts are tax favored bequests, trusts, gift annuities and life insurance policies. The cash minimum to join is $25,000 within a one year period. Click here, for a detailed outline of qualifying Friends for Life gifts. The deadline to join Friends for Life next year is June 15th, 2011. Friends for Life donors are recognized at the AANA Annual Meeting and are acknowledged with beautifully carved and engraved pieces of crystal artwork that are on display permanently in the lobby of the AANA building. Friends for Life donors embrace the Foundation’s mission of advancing nurse anesthesia through education and research and thus envision the need for future funding.
